What is Grief Coaching?
Grief Coaching offers specialized support to those coping with the death of a loved one or other significant loss. While counseling explores past experiences, coaching is action-driven and future-focused. Grief coaching forms a nurturing partnership that includes practical "grief work" designed to impact a healthy future. Guided by the coach, this work requires intentional choices from the griever to walk into the reality of the loss, process emotions, and adjust to a "new normal."

What to Expect
As your grief coach, it is my mission to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to walk at your pace. We will gently explore how you grieve, discover where you are on your grief journey and brainstorm concrete steps you can take to grow and adapt in this difficult season of your life.

Your grief journey may look very different from someone else's since no loss is identical and there is no "one-size-fits-all" formula to follow. With that said, we will utilize a framework which will help create structure as you navigate grief in your own way. Through compassionate, active listening, I will help you set tailored goals within this framework. As a Christian grief coach, I also welcome your expression of faith during every session.

Walking the path of grief is a very brave choice. While it is painful, moving through it in a healthy way is the most helpful thing you can do for yourself. Let's walk along this path together.
About Me
Welcome. I’m Jodi and I would be honored to come alongside you as your grief coach. What I will bring to you is a calming presence, compassionate heart, and a sense of mission to help you experience transformation. It's what propelled me to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry & Leadership from Life Pacific University, and pursue added training as a chaplain. It's also what led me to facilitate grief support groups as well as a trauma recovery group at my local church. Today, I am a Board Certified Christian Professional Life Coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors. I hold certificates in Professional Life Coaching, Trauma Informed Coaching and Grief & Loss Coaching.

But, what I really want you to know is: I have walked the path of grief too. I have known the heartache of a miscarriage, the sadness of the death of family members, the pain of estrangement, and the life-changing adjustments of becoming an empty nester. I have found hope on the other side and I believe you can too.

Above all, my calling as a grief coach is to be present with you in your pain, and a thought partner as you engage your unique grief journey in fruitful ways.
